As an SME developer delivering affordable housing with our Housing Association partners, we welcome the new SAHP funding programme. The UK government and Homes England have officially launched the Social and Affordable Homes Programme (SAHP) 2026–2036, representing the most significant investment in social and affordable housing in a generation. With bidding now open, registered providers, councils, developers and other eligible partners are invited to apply for grant funding to deliver hundreds of thousands of new homes across England over the next decade.

In October 2025, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) announced that a groundbreaking social housing project in London, Appleby Blue Almshouse, had won the 2025 Neave Brown Award for Housing. This prestigious accolade celebrates the UK’s best examples of affordable, well-designed housing.

On 10th October, Sam and Ryan headed over to Leeds for the RIBA event for us to hear from the shortlisted parties for this year's Stirling prize. It's always nostalgic for Sam to make a trip over the Pennines because it's where he spent a summer on internship at King Sturge nearly 20 years ago!

Chapter's co-founders, Sam and Ryan, were delighted to attend the Quality of Life Foundation's Symposium at Freight Island on 30th September. It was a classic Manchester rainy day and one that we hope didn't put off the organisers from the QOLF hosting the Symposium up north again in the future. LandsecU+I provided the venue at their Mayfield development.
